Where Each Movement
Returns to Its Intended Character
Mutiara Tempo is a watchmaker atelier on Jalan Larut, attending to mechanical calibres, rotating bezels, and timepieces of lasting personal significance. We work carefully, and we take our time.

Why Mutiara Tempo
The Atelier Difference
Thorough Assessment First
Every piece begins with a written intake assessment and photographs before any work proceeds. You know the condition of your watch before we touch it.
Trained Watchmaker Hands
Work is carried out by a practitioner with formal watchmaking training and years of experience on a range of mechanical and vintage calibres.
Consultation Throughout
Owners of Heritage Programme pieces are consulted at key decision points. Nothing is done without your awareness and agreement.
Photographic Documentation
Each major service stage is photographed, giving you a lasting record of the work carried out on your timepiece.
Considered Lubrication
We select lubricants appropriate to each contact surface and calibre type — not a one-formula approach applied across all movements.
Written Condition Reports
Heritage Programme clients receive a detailed written condition report upon completion, useful for insurance, sale, or your own records.

Have a Watch That Needs Attention?
We welcome enquiries by phone or written message. There is no obligation to proceed — a conversation about your watch and its history is a good place to begin.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked
How do I bring my watch in for service?
You are welcome to call or write to us first. We will arrange an intake appointment at the atelier on Jalan Larut, where we will examine the watch together, photograph its current state, and discuss what work may be appropriate before any agreement is made.
How long does a standard watchmaker service take?
The Watchmaker Service typically takes three to five weeks from the point of intake. After reassembly, the movement is observed on a timing machine and worn-rate tests over several days before the watch is returned. The Heritage Programme operates on a longer timeline of twelve to eighteen weeks.
Can you service a watch that is no longer in production?
Older and discontinued references are among the watches we attend to most carefully. The Heritage Programme in particular addresses the sourcing of period-correct or compatible components where standard parts are no longer available from the original manufacturer. We will advise honestly on what is achievable.
What is included in the Bezel Service?
The Bezel Service addresses the bezel ring geometry, click spring or ball-bearing system, and the condition and seating of the insert. Worn click components are renewed. Where the insert is faded or chipped, replacement with correctly specified parts is carried out where current production allows. Alignment and the lume marker are verified on completion.
Do you offer pressure testing after service?
Pressure testing and gasket renewal are included as standard in the Heritage Programme. For Watchmaker Service clients, gasket renewal and pressure testing can be discussed and included where appropriate to the watch's specification and intended use.
How do you handle pricing and payment?
Service fees are as listed — MYR 950 for Watchmaker Service, MYR 720 for Bezel Service, and MYR 2,180 for the Heritage Programme. Additional costs, such as replacement parts, are discussed and agreed in writing before the work proceeds. Payment is accepted by bank transfer or cash at collection.
